October The Saint of Travellers the tallest cast stainless steel statue made by Nándor Wagner has been a "Welcome and Good Bye" symbol located in the park of Narita View Hotel next to the Tokyo International Airport highway. With Mr. Tibor Wehner art historian we are taking photos, memos and measurment. |

June A letter has arrived from Mr. Zoltán Pétery from Lund who will visit Budapest soon. He and Nándor Wagner were very good friedns in Lund. He will join us in the research of Swedish works. In the building shown on this picture Mr. Wagner had his atelier in Lund. |

5th of April A letter has arrived from Mr. Tibor Bartha, Denmark containing photos and stories. He recalls during Wagner's last stop at them before going to Japan: "Nándor found in our garden a siporex building block and within minutes he transfered it to an owl, which has been in our living room since then." March One of the paper fresco has turned up! The photo showing Jesus Christ was sent by Mr. László Kékkői junior the son of his commander in war and later a good fatherly friend. |
23rd of February In the assembly hall of the National Association of Hungarian Architects a Nándor Wagner Exhibition was opened. At the opening ceremony art historians Magdolna Supka and Tibor Wehner gave a lecture about his art and struggles in the early fifties in Hungary. Three documentary films of Nándor Wagner were shown made by Mr. János Gulyás as world premiere. |
